Mermaid Image for "The Enchanted Glen" Stocking!
I've been working on a mermaid image for our "Sur Le Mer/Mermaids" stocking this week at The Enchanted Glen and think it turned out rather nicely!
The image is in the public domain and is one that a kind lady scanned from books printed prior to 1923. I tried coloring the individual elements in the image and found that I preferred a more artsy look with different colors in the background, some special effects, and a wonderful texture.
I had a hard time deciding on a name for it since it's the first time I've done anything in this style. However, after reading the definition for "Art Nouveau", it seemed to fit well into that category. :)

I was hoping to work on a few more images but didn't quite find the time. (I did enjoy spending the day with my family though! Happy 21st Birthday Tiffany!)

Mockups for "zingee zou"
lili wanted a different font for the header, the header text moved to the right, and a different shade of orange for the main table background. She also gave me a link to some palette colors she wanted to try (thanks so much for the link! Very helpful!)
Mockup 1:
- wonton font
- text lower right
- font effects
Mockup 2:
- beautiful font
- text lower right
- font effects
Mockup 3:
- same as 2, but with a thin red-orange border around header
Mockup 4:
- dark brown header background
- embellishment next to text
Mockup 5:
- same as 4 but header slightly shorter and no font effects
Let me know what you think!
I also thought I'd put together a couple of different color palettes that match lily's beautiful hand-painted background.

Preliminary Mock-up for "zingee zou"
Animated Banner for "PNPBaby"
Today I designed the animated banner for "PNPBaby", created some vendor headers for "Avant-Garde", finished up some details on "lili lutu", and started on the design for "zingee zou".
Here's the finished animated banner for PNPBaby. I think it turned out rather nicely! And most importantly, Meaghan loves it. :)

Finished Design for "Stylin Baby Cloth"
Webpage Design for "Stylin Baby Cloth"
I worked with Jessica several months ago to create the top buttons for her Hyena Cart. I was excited to work with her again. :)
Jessica wanted a large image that matched the colors/elements of her Hyena Cart. She wanted it placed on her main webpage so that customer's could click on the image to start shopping at her Hyena Cart.
I didn't know the name of Jessica's original font so I used one that was as close as I could find to the original. I cut the bird and flowers images from the original header, vectorized them so that I could make them bigger for the webpage design, and then added all the elements and text together to create her webpage. :)
Edited to add slightly smaller version. Click image to see final view:

Sample 2 - white header, light table background, sparkles further apart
Sample 3 - light header, different shade of purple table background, sparkles same as Sample 2.

Mockups for "lili lutu" Part 4
Mockups for "lili lutu" Part 3
lili's favorite backgrounds are the blossoms and sparklies. The previous mockups were too busy so I tried a couple of more simple ones. :) lili also liked the idea of a little bit of separation between the header and table.
First set has a lighter purple table/header background; second set has a bit darker table/header background.
Let me know what you think!

Mockups for "lili lutu" Part 2
lili likes the purples but wanted the blossoms in the background to match the sizes of those in the actual bouquet.
Here are a few more mockups. :)
1 - dark purple background, somewhat larger blossoms, white header, medium purple table color
2 - lighter purple background, somewhat smaller blossoms, light purple header, light purple table color (3, 4, and 5 also have the same header and table colors)
3 - medium purple background, lots of sparklies
4 - dark purple background, large sparkles
5 - lighter purple background, smaller sparkles

This is one of my favorite parts of the Hyena Cart design process! I love working with my clients to find the perfect header and background for their needs. It's incredible to watch it all come together. :)

Mockups for "lili lutu"
I tried a couple of new header ideas and backgrounds for lili's shop.
I'm really liking the dark purple background because it shows off the sparkles so well! Not sure if it's too much purple though?
I took some of the flowers from the bouquet to use in the background. I think it's pretty. I can also change the shades to different purples, add different colored borders, etc.

Ditto Daddy™ Trainers for Tara
Today I made some of the most darling Ditto Daddy™ trainings pants ever!
Tara had originally purchased my "Retro Cherries" semi-custom slot but I wasn't able to locate enough of the fabric for her daughter's trainers. Tara was very understanding and chose the Tinkerbell fabric instead.
They're a size 18-24 months with an encased waistband (Tara's daughter is allergic to the latex in most elastics) with an approximately 16" waist.

Front with Soaker:
Wrapped up and ready to go!
I had a lot of fun creating these and hope your daughter loves them Tara! Thanks again for working with me,
Tina :)
