Animated Banner for "Madaline Jane"

Jenny wanted an animated banner for her shop that incorporated the same types of colors and fonts. I really enjoyed making this banner. The hardest part was choosing which pictures to include because Jenny does such beautiful work!

Blog Design for "lili lutu"

I worked with lili on the design for her Hyena Carts and am excited to be working with her again to design her Blog. She liked the idea of a piece of her jewelry prominently displayed in the header, and soothing greens for the background.

Here are a couple of samples! Click image to view larger:

Animated Banner for "Alioop"

Cheri was looking for an animated banner to highlight her hand-dyed yarns, appliques, soft shoes, and of course, her popular wondercubes!

I matched the background from her Hyena Cart, found a couple of fun fonts to highlight her text, and added some of my favorite pictures of her items.

New Congo Design for "The Enchanted Glen"

Every so often we switch up the design for "The Enchanted Glen" Congo. This week's theme is "Star Maiden", which refers both to a Native American legend, and Astraea, a Greek Goddess.

My goal was to pair a fairy-like maiden with an ethereal, galaxy-type background. I found a beautiful painting by Warwick Goble (which is in the public domain), took the maiden out of the picture, and created a background for her to float it.

I'm very happy with the result! My sister Tanya (from Personal Photo Art) added in the little wispy embellishment and it turned out exactly as I'd hoped!

Animated Banners for "Creative Mamas" - Holidays

Here are the newest animated banners for the "Creative Mamas" congo.

We wanted to incorporate many of the upcoming holidays and I really liked the idea of a retro-type tree with snowflakes. Hopefully it's a nice representation of the season. :)

Retro Snowflake Tree

New printable design now available!

Inspiration for my Retro Snowflake Tree came from the trees in our front yard and the beautiful snow falling at country cottage this time of year. I wanted to incorporate some retro-type colors and learned a new technique in Photoshop to create the gradient color burst. :)

I'm very happy with how it turned out! I think I'll be using it as part of our family Christmas cards this year.

"Mama Made" Label Samples

Katie sews clothing and other items for her children and wanted customized "Mama Made" labels to sew onto the items.

Her first idea is a scalloped frame in light blue, block font "Made by", and easy-to-read cursive font "Mama" (both in brown, maybe with some green).

Here's my interpretation of the labels. These are 2" wide x 1/5" tall but can easily be changed. Click to view larger:

Her second label idea is an image of a cartoon-y mushroom with red top, white spots of varying sizes, and tan stem, with the words "Mama Made" underneath.

These labels are 1.5" wide x 2" tall but can easily be changed to a different size. Click to view larger:

Note: Any of the fonts can be changed. :)

Designs for Serviceman's Child "Welcome Home Daddy"

One of the ladies on my Hyena Cart forums was looking for an image she could print out and iron-on to a shirt for her 5-year-old son. His daddy is an airman who is coming home this weekend!

I worked up a couple of images for her, incorporating the American flag, camouflage, and airman's symbol:

Thank you to all of our servicemen for the hard work you do to keep us safe.

My designs are normally $5, but for servicemen and their families/relatives/friends, these are $3.

Please see this listing if you would like to purchase one of these. I'm happy to customize the text and/or change the airmen's symbols for yellow ribbons or another basic military image for free.

My grandfather was in the Air Force for many years, and I currently have a dear cousin serving in the military.
