Handwriting, hand-drawn swirls, and vintage 1800's floral sketches are combined to bring to life a gorgeous, antique sketchpad!
Designed especially for the Fabric8: Botanical Sketchbook contest. :) Swirls can be removed for a repeating design:

Vote in the Spoonflower Fabric of the Week Contest! Chinese Paper Cutting
This week's contest is Chinese Paper Cutting! Color palette: red and white.
My design is based off of my "Hope" design with cherry blossoms, but with a frame of blossoms surrounding a delicate butterfly.

Spoonflower Fabric Top 100 Hot Sellers List!
Today one of my fabrics made the Spoonflower Top 100 Hot Sellers List! I'm so excited. It's my Yellow Brick Road design (one of my personal favorites).
Their website says, "Hot Sellers is comprised of Marketplace purchases. These are designs that are flying off our printers as you view them! It's a great way to see what Marketplace shoppers are purchasing."
In other news, if you haven't yet had a chance, please take a minute to vote for my Minecraft Creeper Costume in the 1-yard contest. Voting ends tomorrow. Thanks so much!

And We're Back!
What we've been up to since my last post:
- September: pregnant with our 4th child (yay!); quite sick with all-day "morning" sickness (boo)
- December: finally feeling better. Christmas vacation with the whole family to California!
- Jan-May: preparing for our baby's birth
- Springtime: enjoying our new baby; last days of school
- Summertime: vacation to Maine! And a ton of work (and fun) singing with my sisters, creating music videos, and getting our singing group "GaleSong" going again.
Check out our pics and happenings here:

Spoonflower and Boba Baby Carrier Contest: Nature!
Spoonflower has teamed up with Boba Baby Carriers for a new fabric design contest. Theme: Nature.
I LOVED this contest! I use baby carriers constantly with our boys and know what a lifesaver they can be. :) I wanted my fabric to reflect how I feel when I'm carrying my own children. The safety, comfort, and most of all, hope for the fantastic lives they'll have.
I always enjoyed seeing the cherry blossoms in the springtime when we lived near Washington, DC. I decided that was a perfect center for me.
My fabric description:

Here are the ideas I toyed with. The third one is, of course, my favorite. I would love to have a carrier made with this fabric!

Spoonflower Contest: Snow!
Spoonflower is an amazing company where users upload designs and the company turns them into beautiful fabrics, available for purchase by everyone!
We've finally decided to be brave and enter our first contest at Spoonflower. Theme: Snow.
I LOVE the Retro Snowflake Tree design I created in November and thought it would make a gorgeous fabric. I created 5 more colors for a total of 9 different colored trees. My awesome husband suggested placing some of the trees upside down. I made the background a very light blue and added larger, matching snowflakes for greater contrast and depth to the design.
Here's my entry image! (click image to view larger)

And here are a few closeups of my fabric design (click images to view larger):
