Sewing for Baby: Car Seat Canopy

I LOVE how this turned out! It was the first time I sewed a car seat canopy with bias tape, and I think it looks really sharp. :)

Sewing for Baby: Super Soft Jersey Knit Blanket

My sister told me about an incredibly soft blanket the other day and I knew I needed to make a few!

I scoured my local fabric store and found this amazingly soft jersey. Love the color and how stretchy it is. I used the rolled hem function on my serger and was surprised that it only took about 15 minutes to finish each one!

Sewing for Baby: Boppy Cover

Finished this cover the other day and LOVE how it turned out! Soft minky on one side; soft flannel on the other. I've been needing a new cover for awhile. :)

Made the pattern myself and it worked pretty well! (Someday I'll have to ask Mom to teach me how to put zippers in so they look beautiful.)

Watermark Design for "Closet on Queen Creek"

Rhonda was looking for a watermark for her gorgeous handmade items at: Closet on Queen Creek.

I tried 3 different ideas for her.
1 - Her original header image with the white background taken out. This one was difficult because the original has a shadow effect so quite a few colors blend into each other. It's not as sharp as the others and not my favorite.
2 - I re-drew her font and the crown image so they would be crisp and clear. Also added a nice embossing effect.
3 - I used a special font and the re-drawn crown image. Also added a nice embossing effect.

Samples of the watermarks against a plain background and on one of the pictures from her shop. Click on images to view larger:

Logo Idea for "Riot Cart", Part IV

Ashley wanted a more 'graffiti-ish" look to the boot logo so I added in a bit of texture to make it look a bit more grungy. :)

Here are a few stencil-like boots for Ashley's logo. Left is plain; other 2 have effects added. :)

Logo Idea for "Riot Cart"

My friend Ashley has been working on an awesome shopping site for businesses specializing in hand-made items. Here's an idea to replace the current solid red star logo.

Mock-ups for "Thornbush Pens"

I'm so excited to be working with the very talented Elizabeth from Thornbush Pens (also the owner of Pianissimo Cloth!)

Elizabeth wanted an Etsy banner with her background and shop name on the left, and a pic of one of her pens on a green or brown plain background on the right with her tag-line.

Here are a few different ideas. Click image to view larger:
