Diaper Testers for "Busy Bums"

Jerrica is making a new diaper pattern and I'm excited that I was able to test it out!

Note: This post is very picture heavy. :)

I tested the NB and Small front aplix patterns. I decided to do 2 other patterns at the same time for comparison's sake, and naturally forgot to add a seam allowance for the Busy Bum pattern. Ack!

So I made a 3rd Busy Bum and added seam allowance to that one. Sorry about that. I must say on the first NB one without adding in seam allowance it makes for a really, really tiny, adorable diaper! LOL.

Specs are the same for all diapers:
Outer - Fun knit
Hidden - Stretch terry
Inner - Bamboo fleece

Tri-fold soaker with 1 layer microfiber; 1 layer Bamboo fleece. *In my hurry to get these done I forgot to account for the amount of stretch the diapers would have in the rise. I'll be re-making the soakers so they're longer - teehee.

I took the waist and thigh measurements of my son's bear and discovered he's exactly the size of an average newborn (waist: 16", thigh: 7"), so "Cosmo" is our model for today. We'll have an actual model in about 6 months. :)

Jerrica, thanks again for letting me test the pattern! It was a lot of fun and the diapers turned out really cute.

Logo Design for "The Perfectly Precious Boutique"

Anica wanted a logo that matched her beautiful shop (The Perfectly Precious Boutique) but that was also versatile enough to be used on her business cards, sewn labels, and stick-on labels.

Here are a few mock-ups. I kept them fairly simple so they can be used for any type of company branding Anica desires. :) Click image to view larger:

Facebook Portfolio

Facebook can be a fantastic marketing tool for businesses!

Unfortunately they don't allow for very much page customization; it's mostly just the thumbnails and pictures that help make a FB page recognizable.

Here are a few of my past client's Facebook pages. Click image to view larger:

Doula Logo for Mamaginabean, Part III

Gina messaged me with a few changes to make: longer, more oval face, legs thinner and less round, hair in strands - both straight and wavy. She even took the time to draw out what she was looking for and it was very, very helpful!

Hyena Cart Design Mock-up for "Dandy-lions"

Liz was looking for a custom Hyena Cart design. She wanted the header to match her simple black and white dandelion labels and sent this bright dandelion image for the background.

Fonts, images, and backgrounds can all be changed.

Mock-ups for "Dandy-Lions", Part II

Liz wanted a simpler dandelion design for now. :)

Here are a few ideas. Perhaps using one of the top three pics for the header and the bottom image for the background? Or the bottom image as the header and a plain blue, green, or yellow background?

Logo Mock-ups for Dandy-Lions

Liz is opening her shop and wanted a logo for "Dandy-Lions". My immediate thought was a lion with a top hat and a monocle - lol! Here are a few ideas incorporating the lion animal with the dandelion plant.

Doula Logo for Mamaginabean, Part II

Gina loved the logo but wanted the hair changed a bit. She envisioned a laboring mama with a ponytail and little wisps of hair coming out from all the mama's hard work. :)

Here are a few different hairstyle ideas. I tried to keep them simple so the focus wouldn't be taken away from the mama. :)

Website for SEWsational Sarah, Mock-up

I've worked with Sarah before and am very excited to be working on her web design! Her products are wonderful and I happily recommend her shop.

Sarah wanted a site that matched her Hyena Cart with whites, greys, and blacks. She wanted four click-able buttons: Hyena Cart, Etsy, Sweet Retreat, and Facebook. She sent me 7 product pictures and asked that they be scattered around the edges of her site and that their edges be faded/blurred to blend into the background.

Here's the first mock-up! Click image to view larger:

Updated Labels and Navbar for "Primm 'N Proper Baby"

Meaghan liked the idea of two separate labels (one with her logo and shop name and a smaller one with care instructions). Here's the main label mock-up!

Here's her newest navbar. :)
