A couple of changes for Andrea. :)
1st would be front of the card. 2nd would be a front with 3rd on the back.

Animated Banner for "Steep the Senses" & a Freebie!
Mel wanted a banner that would help convey the message of warmth that her teas bring. I also updated her current header to include a few of the winter elements from her banner (candy cane and gingerbread cookies!)

Gen has been making gorgeous cloth diapers for several years and was looking for an official logo for her shop.
I made a couple of mock-ups matching the birds in her current background (current shop design by: Dragonfly Graphics)
So excited to be working with Gen!

Babyville Boutique Matching Set!
Today I finally had a chance to finish up my tutorials for Babyville Boutique!
I originally started with just a FOE headband and a tutorial to make a cute matching clip.
Then I finished the FOE diaper cover I'd started before my brother's wedding.
Then I decided I needed a matching pacifier catcher.
Then I needed a matching shirt to go with the set. LOL.
So I ended up making 3 Tutorials. Overkill, much? :)
Ah well, it was fun sewing for my baby girl and she looks so darling in her new matching outfit.
My sweet little girl:
Her outfit:
The Babyville Boutique line is scheduled to debut on September 18th but I've heard through the grapevine that some of the supplies are already out at a few JoAnn Fabrics stores! This calls for a trip to JoAnn's tomorrow, don't you agree?

Harry Potter Party!
Our good friend Launi over at Gracious Rain threw an amazing "Harry Potter" party for the 7.2 premiere! Being the nerds, err, awesome people that we are, my whole family dressed up. :) I woke at 6:30am to finish robes for my husband, daughter, and myself, and a little skirt for baby girl.
We snacked on delicious "cauldron cakes", took silly pictures, enjoyed receiving some fantastic prizes, and loved our goody bags. I won the grand prize of 2 Hale Center Theater 2012 Season Passes and am so grateful for the generosity of the Hales! Looking forward to enjoying the plays with my husband; The Hale Center always does a wonderful job!
The saddest part of the evening was knowing this is the last Harry Potter movie. Sigh. We've loved the books and movies; very hard to say goodbye to this magical world.
Here are a few pictures of the party...

Our Sweetheart on Her Blessing Day
What a beautiful day it was!
Baby girl wore the same blessing dress that I wore and that my Mom wore! Her booties were a gift from a sweet lady at our Church, I made her bonnet (with a vintage 1950's pattern!), and her blanket was purchased by my Grandmother from the very talented Becky: Miss Emmy's Treasures

Medium Diaper Covers and Mini-Diapers - Artistry Baby Pattern
I finally sat down and sewed up a couple of mini-diapers and covers for my friend Lesley. Her little gal is getting to be so big! She's growing out of a lot of the diaper stash we gave them so I tried a new pattern she liked. It's the Artistry Baby pattern, which you can find at Christine's Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/artistry
Unfortunately I forgot to add a seam allowance to the mini-diapers. Ack! I tried putting elastic in the first but wasn't sure if it would be too narrow for Lesley's baby. The second one I just serged the diaper so it's more of a contour than a mini-diaper. LOL. Oh well. Will remember that seam allowance next time!
I was pleased with how the covers turned out. I haven't sewn with FOE (fold-over elastic) in awhile. Next time I'll stretch the FOE even more for the legs and waist but even so, the diapers fit Lesley's girl really well.
