Hyena Cart Design Mock-up for "Oak An' Willow", Part II

Denise liked the first header from the mock-ups and wanted to try adding some leaves to the header and changing the tag-line font.

Let me know what you think!

Hyena Cart Design Mock-up for "Oak An' Willow"

Denise emailed a few images for her header and background and asked for my help making the images more professional and helping with the design for her shop. She asked for earthy colors (browns, greens, blacks, etc.) and gave me the name of the font she liked.

Here are a couple of mock-ups! Each has a different tree of life (I added the triquetra to both, but that can be removed or the color changed), different table colors, and different font effects.

Let me know what you think!

Fall/Winter Header for "Stylin' Baby Cloth"

Jessica was looking for some fall/winter elements to embellish her current header. I decided to make the new header a bit bigger than her original so I'd have more room to decorate. :)

Here are a couple of samples. First is finished; second has leaves that are solid-colored rather than shaded to see which look Jessica prefers. :)

Animated Banners for "Creative Mamas" - Autumn

We're doing an autumn theme at Creative Mamas.

I imagined a tree with lots of pretty autumn leaves and am really pleased with how these animated banners turned out:

Mock-up for "Wooden Treasures"

Anne Marie liked the second mock-up I'd designed for her, so I added a couple different thumbnails and made a larger mock-up for her to preview!

Animated Banner for "Dreamseeds"

Kris sent me a few pics of her beautiful items and the text she wanted me to include. Here's her new animated banner. I love the effect of the little bird flying to the tree. :)

Mock-ups for "Dreamseeds Organics", Part 5

Kris loves the latest design but wanted to see how the hills would look if they were a bit darker (they looked florescent on her friend's computer; we certainly don't want that with this design!)

Newest mock-ups. First image is the original, second had darker hills, third has the same hills as the second but with a capital "D" for the shop name.

Mock-ups for "Dreamseeds Organics", Part 3

I'm loving working on this design with Kris!

She liked the bird facing her shop name but wanted to try a different type of bird, more curvy tree, different tag-line font, and purple background.

Here are a few mock-ups! Click images to view larger:

Full size with gradient background. This might be my favorite; though it's a close call between this and the other tree!

Mock-ups for "Dreamseeds Organics", Part 2

Kris liked the hills but wanted them to be more rounded and flow together. She wasn't sure about the birds on the left so I took those out for now. :) I also added in a sunburst to a few of the mock-ups just for fun.

I polled 4 different forums and the majority liked these two backgrounds the best.

Hyena Cart Design Mock-up for Dreamseeds

Kristena wanted a design to match her beautiful font. She wanted to incorporate slate blue, green, and purple, as well as swirls, trees, and birds if possible.

Here are a few mock-ups!

Spotted Box Samples Sent

I've participated in The Spotted Box before and loved it! It's a fantastic way to advertise and I really enjoy receiving my own box. :)

Next month they have an ad set up for "Mothering Magazine", which should bring in a large amount of traffic.

I decided to offer my mini-samples again for The Box, using three of my newer, most popular printable images: "Goldfish in a Baggie", "Chocolate Rainbow Lollipop", and "Modern Tree of Life". I included printed instructions for ironing on the transfer, along with a business card with a discount code printed on the back. :)

Look for us in The Spotted Box on the 15th of March, April, and May!

Mini Samples cut out and ready to be assembled.
Some samples stapled together.

Packaged in zip-top baggies to prevent any water damage while in transit and make sorting easier for April and Jordan.
Signed, sealed, and (soon-to-be) delivered! I love that they all fit in a Priority Mail Envelope.

Note: yes, this endeavor did take several days to complete. Oh how I love seeing finished projects ready to be delivered!

Spoonflower Contest: Snow!

Spoonflower is an amazing company where users upload designs and the company turns them into beautiful fabrics, available for purchase by everyone!

We've finally decided to be brave and enter our first contest at Spoonflower. Theme: Snow.

I LOVE the Retro Snowflake Tree design I created in November and thought it would make a gorgeous fabric. I created 5 more colors for a total of 9 different colored trees. My awesome husband suggested placing some of the trees upside down. I made the background a very light blue and added larger, matching snowflakes for greater contrast and depth to the design.

Here's my entry image! (click image to view larger)

And here are a few closeups of my fabric design (click images to view larger):
