Spoonflower - Creations Made from my Designs! - Minecraft Quilt

Check out this gorgeous Minecraft quilt made by Tracy:

I love all the detail; perfect for a boy's room!

It was made by Tracy Forsberg (aka: papatece) using my "Minecraft Inspired Collage 3" Squares" fabric found here: http://www.spoonflower.com/designs/2479785

This is what Tracy said about the fabric:
Christina - I want to thank you for your design!!  I have a 10 year old grand son who is wild about Minecraft.  I have 6 grandsons and am making quilts for all of them.  I chose your 3x3 pattern and blocked with black flannel and then machine "quilt-stitched" between each block.  Did not get pics of him when we gave it to him (sorry that I did not have my camera handy as he was super excited), but did take pics of the finished product.  Thanks again!"

Thanks for the pics Tracy; your grandsons are so lucky to have you!

Blog Customization for "Project Nightlock"

A huge thank you to my sweet sister for babysitting my kiddos!

She's having an awesome Hunger Games-themed party so I customized a blog where she can post rules, announcements, info, and etc. for her friends. :)

Happy Birthday K3!

Our son's birthday was today and we had such a fun day with him. He lost a tooth last night and was excited that the tooth fairy gets to come visit tonight. :)

His sweet little brother woke him up this morning by kissing his cheek and saying, "Happy Birthday!" It warmed my heart. These two kiddos really love each other and I feel so blessed.

K3 wanted "those donuts with melted sugar on top" (glazed) for his school birthday treats and I was excited that his teacher actually let him pass the treats out to his classmates. We went to his "favorite Chinese restaurant" for dinner and he loved his "favorite teriyaki chicken". His Daddy bought a Monster Truck card for him with a big "6" on the front. He was thrilled. :)

He received many phone calls today from relatives and it was so cute to see him talking on the phone with everyone. He even got a birthday postcard from his dentist! He thought that was pretty cool.

We had Scouts tonight so we made chocolate chip cookies with them in honor of K3's birthday (it also counts for part of the Cooking Achievement for the Scouts and hey, who doesn't like cookies?!)

K3 received a Buzz Lightyear Lego Rocket and Toy Story pajamas. He was so excited and spent all of Scouts putting together the rocket by himself. He did a fantastic job.

After the Scouts left K3 blew out the candles on his giant birthday cookie and then shared it with all of us. What a sweetheart. We read through his photo album that Oma and Opa made for his 4th birthday. He loved seeing all the pics of himself with his loved ones.

Tonight he told us this was his best birthday ever. :)

May you have many, many, many more wonderful birthdays with us sweetheart. We love you!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday and what a wonderful year it's been!

Reflections...

I feel like I've grown a lot during the past year, both professionally and in my personal life. I've been learning how to better manage my time, improve my graphics design skills, and become more proficient in coding.

I've been enjoying spending more time with my family and am learning to have patience as we ttc our 3rd child. :) There will always be more to learn, but I'm thankful to have such a supportive family and a loving Heavenly Father who always watches out for me.

Saturday: Mom and Dad took us out to breakfast and then Mom watched the boys. I received beautiful roses and carnations from my fantastic husband, an awesome cake, heavenly couple's massage, & then we saw "Leap Year".

Today: Breakfast made by my amazing husband, went to Church with our sweet kiddos, relaxed at home for a bit, had my favorite Birthday dinner with my family, opened wonderful presents, and ate cake!

I'm a huge fan of CakeWrecks so my husband had a cake customized just for me. I call it the "coolest cake ever", and couldn't stop laughing when I saw it!

Note: He actually didn't want any sprinkles on the cake and asked for red accent frosting rather than brown, so it really is a CakeWreck! Teehee.

Looking forward to another wonderful year and to improving myself every day.

Tina :)
